Rainbow frog whose body colors like a rainbow, which is believed to be extinct, was still in Borneo.

Over the past 90 years, frog rainbow was never seen on earth.




However, as quoted by the BBC, Dr. Indraneil Das, a scientist at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), continue to search the species in Mount Penrissen, West Sarawak, namely the border area between Sarawak, Malaysia and West Kalimantan Province, Indonesia. He was surprised when one night he saw the frog was looking for was climbing trees.

The team spent many months exploring the remote mountain forests in the region to find this species. Earlier in 2010, Dr. Robin Moore of Conservation International, the environmental watchdog, has released its list of world's amphibians are extinct. Rainbow frog list mentions this as one of 10 frogs of the most sought after in the world.

"The desire to find the frog, and the importance of amphibians in a healthy ecosystem, has encouraged us to continue to conduct searches," said Dr.. Das.

Dr. Moore, claimed excited over this discovery, "Nature to surprise us when we lose hope, especially when today many of earth's animal species are extinct."
