Shell designing ships to mine the natural gas in waters off Australia. This ship is the largest in the world.
Shell created the ship's largest liquefied natural gas producer in the world. As quoted from the BBC, the ship is scheduled to be stationed in Australia. This ship has a length of 448 meters, 75 meters width, and height of 105 meters. Anchors can be moored up to 250 meters into the sea.
This vessel will also be 110-120 people filled the crew who work in shifts. Total crew planned to 220-240 people.
Large size requires large amounts of energy. To that end, every 6 or 7 days, a tank will supply fuel to this vessel. Fuel that is needed is equivalent to the amount of energy needs of London in a week.
These ships factory assembled Samsung heavy equipment industry on the island of Geoje, South Korea. Later these giant ships will be able to mine the natural gas and accommodate up to 600,000 tons capacity, and will be operated Shell in 2017.
